Mike Parejko, MS, MT (ASCP)
Chief Executive Officer

Mike Parejko began his career as a medical technologist at Northwestern Memorial Hospital in Chicago. He later transitioned into business development roles for a medical technology supplier before returning to blood banking as Indiana Blood Center’s (IBC) Vice President, Quality Systems in 2004. A year later, he became IBC’s Vice President, Operations. He was named Chief Executive Officer of ImpactLife in 2014. Mike is active in leadership roles serving both our industry and community, including membership on the Board of Directors for America’s Blood Centers (named as the Board’s President in 2019), National Blood Collaborative, IT Synergistics, Robert Young Mental Health Center, and United Way of the Quad Cities Area (Board Member and Co-Chair of United Way’s Annual Campaign in 2018 and 2019).

Darren Klocke
Vice President, Administration & Chief Financial Officer

Darren Klocke has been with ImpactLife since 2010. His team is responsible for accounting, finance, purchasing, facilities, equipment, information systems, and general administrative functions for the organization. Prior to joining MVRBC, Darren was General Services Director (2000-2010) and General Services Staff Accountant (1994-2000) with McGladrey LLP, assisting clients with accounting issues and providing general strategic business and tax planning advice. A member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accounts, Darren is a graduate of Augustana College, majoring in Accounting and Business Administration – Finance. Locally, he has volunteered as a Board member for the Moline Public Schools Foundation and has served on Finance Committee for Salem Lutheran Church in Moline.

jennifer feeney Jennifer Feeney, SHRM-SCP, SPHR
Vice President, Human Resources

Jennifer Feeney has served as Vice President, Human Resources at ImpactLife since 2007. Previously, Jennifer worked as Director, Human Resources for Per Mar Security and for the President Riverboat Casino. A graduate of Augustana College who majored in Business Administration, Jennifer is an active member of the Society for Human Resource Management (SHRM) and holds certifications of SHRM-SCP (Senior Certified Professional) and SPHR (Senior Professional in Human Resources). Jennifer has held leadership roles within our industry, having served on the Human Resources committee for America’s Blood Centers, has helped lead the Great River Human Resources Association and has volunteered with MRA to lead Senior Human Resources roundtables in the Quad Cities Area.

Amanda Hess, MBA
Vice President, Donor Relations and Marketing

Amanda has spent the last 20 years of her career in healthcare, first in Marketing and Business Development with Genesis Health System and currently as Vice President of Donor Relations and Marketing for ImpactLife. At ImpactLife, she oversees marketing, public relations, donor recruitment, programs, and communications for the organization. Her team has been recognized by national industry associations for their work in the areas of Marketing, Media and Donor Relations.  In addition to her direct support of patients and communities through her career in healthcare, Amanda has held many volunteer committee leadership and board member roles in local community and national organizations such as ADRP, the National Blood Collaborative, The Quad City Chamber of Commerce, the American Heart Association, YPIowa, Quad City Health Initiative, and America’s Blood Centers. Amanda is also a proud volunteer blood donor and blood drive coordinator.

Jennifer Lindburg, RN
Vice President, Quality Support Services

Jennifer Lindburg began her career at ImpactLife in 1999. She completed her nursing degree and became a registered nurse in 2003. She worked in the Donor Services department holding many titles until transferring to the Quality department in early 2020. As Vice President of Quality Support Services, she oversees Quality and Regulatory Affairs as well as Training and Development. Her team is responsible for batch release of products, reviewing records to ensure compliance with standard operating procedures and regulatory agencies, product recalls, donor notifications, public health department notifications, investigating transfusion reactions, hosting internal and external audits, registrations and submissions for product and location licensures, training and development of new hires, advanced training, competency of staff, and the development and distribution of ongoing training and education. She is a member of the America’s Blood Centers (ABC) Quality Assurance-Technical Director Planning Committee and is a member of the Handicap Committee for Pinnacle County Club.

Pete Lux, RN
Vice President, Donor and Patient Services

Pete Lux, RN is Vice President, Donor and Patient Services with ImpactLife. Pete began his career in 1991 as a blood collection tech with Indiana Blood Center where he rose through the ranks as a supervisor, manager, and director of donor services. He came to ImpactLife in 2015 and now leads a team of more than 300 Donor and Patient Services associates working across the blood center’s four-state service region.  

He has applied his extensive knowledge of our industry to numerous project teams, including implementation of SafeTrace/DonorDoc, BioKey, mobile plateletphereis, Diapsect, DoVac Elite, and Macomix blood mixers with interface to DoVac Elite. Pete has helped train blood collection staff on the use of platelet apheresis equipment during a two-week volunteer trip in the Republic of Georgia. His industry service also includes membership on the Donor History Task Force for the Association for the Advancement of Blood and Biotherapies (AABB) and on the conference planning committee for the Association of Donor Relations Professionals (ADRP).

A dedicated ambassador for donor recruitment efforts, Pete has even participated in a job swap with a TV meteorologist to help raise awareness of blood donation. He was recognized for professional excellence and support of donor recruitment with the ADRP Collections Leader of the Year Award in 2021.
