Karolyne

Karolyne was diagnosed with HLHS in utero. She has had three open heart surgeries and several other surgeries along the way for removal of part of her colon and a gruñe placement. Karolyne has depended on blood donations for all of her heart surgeries. She is now 13 and doing very well. We don’t know when the next surgery will be or what her future will bring but know that blood donations are vital.
