When you join the BioLinked Registry, you become a part of the research community that is bringing new hope to patients as soon as possible.

It only takes five minutes on average to sign up for a BioLinked Registry profile. Once you have created a BioLinked Registry Profile, you are ready to fill out the questionnaire which goes into more depth about your social and health history. This part takes about 15 minutes on average to complete.

If you match a researcher’s need, a representative from ImpactLife will contact you. If you have any interest in participating, they will explain what is needed, and how that may affect you. The choice to move forward is completely up to you. Unless you agree, the researcher will never know your identity.

Learn More	Do you or your child have asthma? Learn more about a paid, virtual clinical trial. Join our research study This study is open to anyone who has asthma and uses an inhaler, who is over 12 years old and is not currently pregnant. Participants could receive up to $300 compensation.
Check back for start date.	Have Hidradenitis Suppurativa (HS)? We’re working to diagnose conditions like HS more easily, and that starts with volunteers like you. This study is open to anyone with HS who is over 18 and is not currently pregnant. The study consists of taking up to 43 photos, including full body, from the comfort of your own home. These photos will be uploaded to a secure platform from your own device and will be used to help teach AI models to recognize specific skin conditions. All data collected in this study, including the images you provide, will be treated as strictly confidential in compliance with data protection laws and regulations. Participants will receive up to $625 in compensation.

What will be expected of me if I join the BioLinked Registry?

What type of studies will I be recruited for?

The type of studies that you will be recruited for are based on eligibility requirements.

The eligibility requirements are determined by a research study’s protocol. Some studies seek participants who have the illnesses or conditions being studied, others are looking for healthy people, and some are limited to a predetermined group of people.
Will I ever be pressured to participate in research?

Absolutely not! If you match a researcher’s need, a representative from ImpactLife will contact you. If you have any interest in participating, they will explain what is needed, and how that may affect you. The choice to move forward is completely up to you. Unless you agree, the researcher will never know your identity.
Will I receive payment for participating in a clinical trial/study?

Possibly, but each clinical trial/study is different. Compensation can depend on the length of the trial, the treatment or procedures performed and is dependent on the amount budgeted for the clinical trial/study.
What will be expected of me if I am accepted to a clinical trial/study?

Every clinical trial/study will be unique. Some studies are short and only require a single visit to your local blood center. Other studies may involve multiple visits over a period of time. Depending on the nature of the study, you may undergo a blood pressure or ECG test, be asked to provide blood or urine, or simply fill out a questionnaire on your health history.

For every study you participate in, you will be given an Informed Consent document to read. The Informed Consent Document provides an overview of the study, outlines your role in the study, and describes any potential risks.

What happens to my information and who can access it?

Your information is stored in a private, secure database used to locate people with specific medical, family and social backgrounds that match-up with research opportunities. Only a few restricted staff from ImpactLife will have access to your information. We will never sell your information to third parties without your consent. Ever.
